Baxter won Winners Dog and Best Opposite in Sweepstakes at the 2000 FSSA National Specialty. With his mom, Caper, he won Best Brace at the National as well. He completed his CH in August 2000 and in April 2002 he followed in his dad's pawprints by completing his Canadian championship 'the hard way' by earning all his points by winning group placement. . . .curiously enough, he earned the exact number of placements as his mom, Baylee-a second, a third and two fourths. . . .spooky. Earning his Canadian CH in this manner made him the second Field to finish with all group placements. And. . . .Baxter was honored to be designated as number one Field Spaniel in Canada for 2001! Pretty darn good for a dog who doesn't like to show.
